Q: I have back problems and have to use a walker

Four years ago the Butcher of Bedford operated on my back for a pinched nerve.  When I woke up, I couldn't walk, had no bladder control, and had 10 hammer toes (they were straight before the surgery).

Other than pushing the walker I really get no exercise.  I would try walking with the walker but there isn't a sidewalk on my very busy street and I'm a wuss but am afraid that walking in the street could get me killed.

Do you have any suggestions?

Hello! Have you thought about Water Exercises? I heard it works every muscle in your body. Consult with your Physician to see what he or she thinks.

I had a 3 level laminectomy 3 years ago to relieve spinal pressure and accompanying back spasms and continuous pain.  Worked great and am now pain free with no problems from the surgery.  Hope you sued the hell out of the Butcher.

I suggest you purchase a new or used treadmill.  Think you would do well with one.
