Honey is a sugar, unrefined and natural but a sugar none the less and using it will not help you control your blood glucose levels.  It would be best to avoid it.

According to Dr. Ron Fessendon in his new book,  "The Honey Revolution"  natural honey is the 'preferred' medicine for Type II Diabetics.

Much evidence is coming to light about honey actually helping lower blood sugar levels.

Dr. Fessenden suggest 5 tablespoons per day, but not in addition to other sweeteners, but as a replacement for them.
