Granddaughter has blood sugar level at 510. Should they take her to E.R.?

My daughter-in-law had diabetes while pregnant with her 3 yr. old who is now thirsty all the time and urinating frequently.  They took her blood sugar level and it was 510.  After having some peanuts and having her ride her trike for an hour it was still high at 490.  Can they wait to call doctor tomorrow or should they take her to E.R.?

Can someone help me today. Thanks.

I had a right side of brain stroke, gained 60 lbs in 3 yrs. cause I cannot exercise as I WANT TO by walking anymore as I used to. Drs. still cannot decide if I have diabetes or not, they are a joke!! Tongue out. My left knee is stiff as a board and my left foot swells up all of the time.  I take blood thinner 'plavix', also Simvastatin, lexapro, actonel, I presented to the Dr. with a lot of pain in my knees and lower back, took x-rays and he determined that I have a whole lot of degenerate things going on in those areas and I am just 64. He prescribed Tramadol for pain and some sort of water pill twice a day said I could take Tramadol up to 4 times a day for the pain. Later that evening I thought I would die from excrutiainting pain all over my body!!! It was completely paralyzing!!!! what is that about?? I went to the doc to feel better, not worse!!!
