Q: any advice for afternoon hypers for a child on pre mixed insulin?

my daughter is 6 and taking novomix 30 for almost a year, since diagnosis. she takes 14 units before breakfast and 7 units with her evening meal. lately she has been having afternoon hyperglycemias frquently, and in the absence of availability of a pump can anyone suggest a way to counter these hypers without having to introduce an extra injection during her school day?

Paula-

Hello! I would love to offer advice but I can't.  I could only advise talking to your daughters physician and they can tell you what to do from there.

Sorry, I can't help
