Q: Different BG levels on different fingers

Today I tested on two different fingers (both pinky fingers) about 30 seconds apart. Result:right hand 116mg/dl  left hand 99mg/dl

Does anyone have any idea why this should be happening?

P.S. I am right handed if that helps.

Thank you for your time.

It is likely to do with circulation differences. It may be also different in other fingers on the same hand, or other locations, like the arm, wrist, or palm.

My caseworker tells me to remember that it's just a rough estimate, anyway, as levels are constantly changing, and subject to many variables. The main thing, she says, is to keep testing in the same region, so that you can get fewer variables.

The same for me. If I test high, I test the other hand, and it'll be about (20) points lower. Dave
