Have been a diabetic for over twenty years. In my mind I been a diebetic and I haven't been a diabetic. When I dropped my weight to normal for my height and exercised three or more times a week, my blood sugar levels stayed in the 80s to 90s (two hours after a meal). As my body weight rises so does my blood sugar and my blood pressure. Since I have had diabetis and then did not have it based on my body weight,  I would guestimate (new word) that once you have it , you probably have the propensity for it the rest of your life. I have never had a sweet tooth and generally try to watch what I eat however french fries and baked potatoes are my down fall. When the weight goes back on, the BS and the BP rises proportionally. One thing I would add, is that when my weight gets within twenty pounds of my ideal weight, I can stop taking insulin and change to tablets. When I am at my ideal weight I can control my BS by eating sensibly.pro{ margin: 0.79in } P { margin-bottom: 0.08in } -->
