Chris-

There are many ways to bring your blood sugar down but it varies from person to person.  You should contact your Doctor if you are noticing high blood sugars for more than 2 days. He may need to make adjust your medications, You may need to exercise or eat less carbs.  The best answer is to consult your Doctor on how to get your blood sugar down.

Hi Chris, my name is Sue (msmissy), I have also had high numbers in the evening. I have to stop and think back to what I have had to eat throughout the day. If it would help you, do what my doctor said to do and make a list of what you eat during the day and see if maybe you consumed too much calories or carbohydrates. My doctor also has me weighing and measuring what I eat. I just got diagnosed on July 17th, 2008. It was a shock but I am trying to get used to it. I hope this has been of some help to you. Thanks and good luck!
