I have dizziness 5-10 min after eating is this to quick for my bloodsugar to affect me

I have a dr. appt. next week first off.  However for the past 6 months or so,  after eating a high carb meal ap. 5-10 min after eating,I get very dizzy, I almost feel like passing out. My mom and gm both were type 2 diab.  I am over weight about 45 lb.    Could this be to quick for my blood sugar?

I think it would depend firstly on the type of carbs you are eating, and secondly on the amount.  If you are eating high GI carbs, like white bread and cake and pasta made from refined flour, these will affect your blood glucose far quicker than if you are eating low GI carbs, like sweet potato and seedloaf.  If you are overweight and have a family history of obesity it is possible that you are insulin resistant, and that your blood glucose levels are already high before you start eating.  The food could just be the icing on the cake.
