they would likely pass out- blood sugar should be checked immediately: if too high, an insulin injection is needed; if too low, a glucagon injection is needed
equally dangerous is a change in mental status- so if a diabetic becomes confused, lethargic, or just plain whacko, follow the protocol above- is the sugar is bottoming out, but the person is still 'with it', they can drink juice or eat candy.

If you believe that you or someone you know or care for is dying from diabetes, please contact a doctor or clinic as soon as possible. This is a medical question and there could be many signs and symptoms that indicate problems with controlling blood sugar. I am not certain, but believe that most deaths from diabetes come from the effects of
diabetes on the body over time---destruction of blood vessels, so perhaps problems with
heart, brain..... Please, you or anyone you are concerned about is worth the time
to see a physician and address the issues regarding the diabetes.
