My advice would be to contact your doctor or clinic to find out how much insulin to take. Often, they can give you a correction scale so that you know how much Novolog to take when blood sugar is elevated. With high blood sugars you can become very dehdrated so you want to drink plenty of water also. Pain definitely increases blood sugar but if your blood sugar is not coming down definitely see a doctor.
