yes- diabetes is more likely to lead to any infection- this is because high blood sugar interferes with immune cell function- best you can do is control blood sugar   I would also try drinking cranberry juice/ and or acidic drinks (OJ)- cranberry juice has a natural anti-infectant, and other foods can lower pH which can kill bacteria- maybe try drinking for a month and see if it helps- if not, move onto the next thing- i had a bladder infection when I was a boy and they made me drink yucky purple stuff! it worked tho...   Good luck and remember- wine can help clear out the bladder, and it's fun too :)
