Saturday, December 19, 2009 Robert asks

Q: I had an accident on 12/07/03 that fractured my right ankle.

Up to that time I was in good health. Two years after the accident my doctor was running blood tests and found I had type 2 diabetes.

There is not any history of diabetes in my family.

This  was an industrial accident.

After one year of treatment the insurance company cut off my coverage.

This was the only income I had.

I took it to court.

This took one year to get my coverage back.

In that time I was not able to exercise, I ate poorly, and I was under tremendous stress.

Do you feel this led to my getting diabetes?
