In my case, no.  It can, but not always, often it is a sign of high glucose levels for me.  When I get that way, I test and go from there.  Often I find it seems to be independent of my glucose levels at all.  I am trying to find a doctor who can help me find out just what causes it and why.  The closest I can come is stress-related.
