Q: Taking Byetta and two types of insulin, what are the ramifications of this?

I have been on Byetta 5mcg BID for over two years (I was unable to tolerate the increase to 10mcg because of nausea) I keep dreading that if you're on Byetta you shouldn't be taking insulin but I don't see the reasoning behind it or what problems it would present. I have been having a continous problems with low (30's,40's and 50's) on a regular basis and I can't help but think maybe the problem is mixing these two drugs. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
