Yes, it's high. Mine was 8.1 and my doctor threatened to put me on injectable insulin (I'm type II). I got very strict with my diet and lowered it to 6.8 in 6 weeks, he seems satisfied with that. He also raised my dosage of Glyburide and Metformin. Now I havee to be careful and eat regularly or my BG goes way too low, like 46!
