Q: Does anemia affect A1C results?

I have a blood disorder commonly known as MGUS - both my red and white blood cell counts are low. Does this affect the accuracy of the A1C test results?

Yes. The A1c may look lower than it actualy is. This can be due to increased RBC turnover, or structure of heboglobin itself.
