Often, people with chronic conditions, such as diabetes, are at an increased risk for surgical errors and complications. According to Dr. Bill Quick, a "surgery checklist", can help eliminate mistakes, especially in patients with diabetes.   A thorough checklist can help to minimize and eradicate errors, keeping the patient safe.
