What is the i-port®?
A prescription only device, the i-port® is a disposable injection port for people taking injections who want to minimize the intrusion of injections on daily life. The i-port® is the only product conceived by a person with diabetes that offers a simple and convenient way to eliminate the need to puncture the skin with each dose of medication.
More specifically, the i-port® is a practical treatment option for adults and children with diabetes who:
- Are newly diagnosed as insulin dependent
- Currently take daily injections of insulin, and/or other medications.
- Want a "vacation" from the insulin pump
- Would benefit from replacing their oral medication with an injectable medication
- Would benefit from adding an injectable medication to their current treatment regimen
