Researchers say being overweight significantly increases a woman's risk of developing endometrial cancer, especially if she has gone through early menopause. In a recent study, scientists found that women with a body-mass index (BMI) of greater than 35 who were under age 45 at the time of their last menstrual period had a 22 times higher risk of developing endometrial cancers than their peers who were at a normal weight.
