The class of diabetes meds that include Actos and Avandia may reduce the risk of lung cancer, according to a recent report. Researchers studied 87,678 male patients and found that those who took the diabetes meds had a 33-percent lower risk of lung cancer than those who did not take them. The greatest reduction in risk was seen in African American men, researchers say.
