Diet For Pancreatitis

Researchers from the University of Texas say that a
calorie-restricted diet may do more than ward off weight gain--it
may help prevent pancreatic cancer. The study's authors say that
obesity is linked to a protein that spurs on the development of
pancreatic lesions. In the animal study, mice that were fed a
calorie-restricted diet developed fewer, smaller lesions and had
less pancreatic inflammation than the groups that had
obesity-inducing diets.
