High blood sugar levels increase people's risk of developing heart
disease, especially among women, new research suggests. In fact,
according to a new study published in the Journal of the American
College of Cardiology, women face a greater risk for heart disease
at lower blood sugar levels than men. Researchers also found that
for any level of blood sugar, women have a higher risk of
developing diabetes and heart disease compared with men.
