In a study of more than 28,000 women, researchers at the University of Minnesota found that women who drank coffee, particularly the decaffeinated variety, were as much as 22 percent less likely to develop diabetes than those who drank no coffee at all. The coffee ingredient responsible for lowering the diabetes risk remains unclear.
