New trials add to Januvia's promising results

A recent clinical trial has shown Merck and Co.'s new diabetes drug Januvia to be effective in reducing blood-sugar levels in patients with Type 2 diabetes. Januvia, which can be used alone or as an add-on treatment to Actos or metformin, appears to improve the function of insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. Read more »
