A study has found one-third of people with Type 2 diabetes also
have sleep apnea, with older men twice as likely as women to suffer
from the condition. Studies have linked sleep apnea to glucose
intolerance and insulin resistance, so researchers were not
surprised at the connection. Experts found that using a continuous
positive airway pressure mask treats symptoms of apnea and also
lowers blood-sugar levels.
