A common vegetable used in Asia, and South America for diabetes management may slow and stop breast cancer, new research suggests. Research in St. Louis found that the extract killed breast cancer cells in a laboratory experiment. They say they need to conduct experiments on humans, and researchers say while it probably won't cure breast cancer, it could help prevent the disease.
