People who have extra deposits of fat on their upper chest and back
are at greater risk of insulin resistance, a new study suggests. In
the study, researchers found that fat located in the upper trunk
raised the risk of the condition as much as belly fat. Over time,
increased insulin resistance is likely to lead to Type 2 diabetes,
experts say.
