A heart-healthy diet that includes blueberries may help ward off belly fat, high cholesterol, and high blood sugar. In a recent study supported by the U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council, researchers found that rats fed powdered blueberry powder for 90 days had less body fat, lower cholesterol, and lower triglycerides than the rats who were fed a normal diet.
