Asthma meds don't work as well in overweight patients

New research suggests that if you're overweight or obese common asthma meds may not work as well for you. In fact, scientists say that inhaled steroids are 40 percent less effective in overweight patients than in those who are a healthy weight. Researchers say that obesity appears to block the pathway that steroids use in order to reduce inflammation.
