FDA says Byetta can be used with other diabetes drugs

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved Byetta as an add-on therapy to other diabetes medications. Byetta works by regulating insulin only when blood sugar is high, which means it will not interfere with other medications. In clinical studies, patients who took Byetta in addition to their regular drugs saw an improvement in their blood sugar levels, and they lost weight. Read more »
