Growth hormone may benefit gastric banding patients

Women who undergo gastric band surgery may be helped by adding a growth hormone to their post-surgery treatment. In an Italian study, researchers found that women who took a growth hormone lost a similar amount of weight as women who did not take the hormone, but they had greater total fat loss.
