A study published in Diabetes Care has found that 57 percent of diabetics have intentionally skipped a dose of insulin. One in five patients even said they skipped shots regularly. Reasons given were that too many doses interfered with daily activities, injection pain, and embarrassment about taking shots in public. Experts say patients who have those problems should talk to their doctors because there may be other insulin options that would better suit their lifestyle.
