What Causes Peripheral Neuropathy

A patient with diabetic neuropathy wants to know why it occurs and
what drugs can treat the pain. Newspaper columnist Nurse Patti
explains that the most common form is peripheral neuropathy, which
causes pain and numbness in the legs and feet. The nurse recommends
exercise, physical therapy, and foot care to help the symptoms.
Medications like Lyrica and Cymbalta may also help treat the pain.
