Two new drugs used to treat Type-2 diabetes have been found to both lower patients' blood sugar and help them lose weight. The drugs, Januvia and Galvus, work by increasing the levels of a hormone in the pancreas that controls insulin production, while simultaneously halting glucose production in the liver.
