Triglyceride level may predict odds of diabetic neuropathy

Diabetics who have high triglyceride levels may be at a greater risk for diabetic neuropathy than their peers, a new study suggests. Researchers studied 427 diabetes patients with neuropathy and found that those who had the highest levels of triglycerides were significantly more likely to experience worsening neuropathy over the course of one year, regardless of how long patients had the disease or how controlled it was.
