Why Does Diabetes Cause Foot Ulcers

A British diabetes charity says that 100 people in the United
Kingdom have a lower limb amputated every week. And amputation can
lead to other complications such as stroke, heart attack,
blindness, and kidney failure. The charity's experts say that most
amputations can be prevented with better diabetes management, such
as regular visits to a podiatrist and immediate care of foot
ulcers.
