Will Not Eating Help Weight Loss

Mediterranean diet may boost Alzheimer's survival

Experts say that eating a Mediterranean-style diet is helpful for weight loss and heart health. Now research suggests it may also help Alzheimer's patients live longer. Researchers studied 192 patients with dementia over a period of more than four years. They found that those whose diets most closely matched a Mediterranean-style diet--full of fish, nuts, olive oil, and fruit--lived an average of four years longer than those who ate a more Western-style diet.
