Eating fats can help curb appetite: study

Scientists say that a type of fat found in olive oil, avocados, and nuts can help keep you feeling full and satisfied. When the fat--called oleic acid--is digested, it activates the part of the brain that increases feelings of fullness. Researchers say this healthy fat may be the key behind the success of higher-fat diets such as a Mediterranean-style diet. And experts say that understanding how fats affect feelings of fullness may help lead to new obesity medications.  Read full story >
