People who have dieted successfully show activity in different parts of their brain than others, a new study has found. Researchers say it appears that successful dieters actually activate parts of their brain that help keep them from giving in to food temptation. Using MRI brain scans, scientists found that these dieters had different activity when compared to people who had been of normal weight their whole life. That may be because dieters have to put in more mental effort into eating "normally."
