In-Office Tests May Predict Kids' Adult Diabetes Risk

Tests that can be done in a doctor's office may help pre-teens and parents get a better idea of a child's diabetes risk, research suggests. In two studies, scientists found that systolic blood pressure, body mass index, and parental diabetes were associated with an increased risk of diabetes at age 19 and age 39.
