People who eat an extra serving of green leafy vegetables every day may be saving themselves from Type 2 diabetes, a new study suggests. A review of six earlier studies found that just one more serving a day of vegetables like spinach, cabbage, or broccoli lowered adults' risk of developing diabetes by 14 percent. Experts say it may be that people who eat more vegetables are more health conscious overall, or it could be that green leafy vegetables have greater health benefits than other fruits and veg.
