Diabetic Women More Likely to Get Breast Cancer Diagnosis: Study

A new study suggests that women who have diabetes may be more likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer. Canadian researchers say that behaviors such as smoking, obesity, and poor diet likely impact a person's risk of getting both diabetes and cancer, but the results also suggest that it may be the barrage of medical tests that accompany a new diagnosis of diabetes that explain why diabetic women are more likely to be diagnosed than non-diabetic women.
