Dave Freeman co-author of the revolutionary travel book "100 Things to Do Before You Die" fell and hit his head in mid-August. His father told the L.A. Times that he died on August 17.

What a shame to die at such a relatively young age. I haven't read the book --yet. But I did look at an online excerpt from it. On the list I saw, the Burning Man Project (an arts celebration that sounds REALLY cool), Academy Awards ceremony (ze Oscars!), and Mardi Gras (in N'awlins, of course). Can definitely see myself doing those. But the Testicle Festival. Hmmm. I think I'll sit that one out!
