The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recalled Sherwood Brands Gold Milk Chocolate Coins because of possible melanine contamination. Although the health risk associated with the chocolate is considered low, the CFIA has warned the public not to consume, distribute, or sell the product, which is sold nationally through Costco stores.

The recall is limited to Canada. The contaminated candy did not make it into US or other foreign markets.

You can read more about the recall at the CFIA website: http://www.inspection.gc.ca/english/corpaffr/recarapp/2008/20081008e.shtml
