Hello to anyone who may be reading this SharePost!
I am new to this site, but I figured I would take a chance with it being the beginning of a new year. I promised myself I would spend more time on me this year, especially in my goal to lose weight. It seems I need a lot of support for things like this and I heard people online can be very supportive
I guess I am just looking for people who are in the same boat as I am...obese and beginning to do something about it. To begin, I will be joining Weight Watchers. This was very helpful to me when I got out of college. I think the support group was the main reason I lost weight. Though I have two small children, I also will be attempting to work out 2 days per week. This may seem miniscule, but hey, it is better than no days per week! I feel like I need to take baby steps! Anyone who has any advice...please I am all ears. I am only looking for serious people.

Hi Kerbear82
Let me give you a big big welcome to MyDietExercise.com People helping people is what this site and the posts are all about. Here, you will find some great articles and information to help with your journey. More importantly, you will find encouragement because that is the fuel we rely on to achieve our dreams.
You are so right, it's all about baby steps and working out twice a week is a fantastic start and what a great example you are setting for your kids. I want to encourage you to keep sharing your story, your thoughts and feelings and your milestones. You can even post pictures too.
The best advice I can give you is don't quit. Sometimes the changes are slow, but don't quit. There are days you will feel like not working out, those are the days you must show up even if its for just a few minutes. Showing up is a victory all by itself.
