Living a healthy lifestyle which will hopefully lead to weight loss :)
I will begin taking a prenatal vitamin every morning as a supplement for nursing.
I have always struggled with my weight, though I never had a weight problem until college. Late night pizza deliveries and alcohol were not the healthiest combo. I am only 5 feet, 4 inches, so extra weight does not look good on me! Through high school, I bounced around between 125 pounds and 160 pounds. When I found out I was pregnant at age 20, I weighed 173 lbs and really had thought I was fat then. I gained 57 lbs with my pregnancy and never lost it. I was married in August of 2006 and put on about 10 extra pounds, which placed me at a hefty 240 pounds!!! Then, I became pregnant again and gained 20 pounds. In July I celebrated my 25th birthday and delivered my 2nd baby within a week of one another. Needless to say, my body is quite out of shape and I cannot believe how I have let myself go. Due to breastfeeding (which I am still doing in the evening) I took off some of the weight, but it has been 6 months and I feel stuck at 245 pounds! I know I binge eat and my husband is also overweight and does not help with my weight loss. I also do not have time to exercise with two young children and a full time job as a 1st grade teacher. I grew up with a morbidly obese mother and grandmother who both had gastric bypass surgeries to maintain their weight. There is no way I am going to be a third generation stomach stapler! I want my children to have a healthy mom...I want be a great role model for them. Now, I am officially on a quest to safely and healthily lose over 100 pounds! I know this will be a slow and painstaking process, but I am ready to find out why I am obese. I am ready to stop being a slave to food and to my body.
