I go to the gym 5 times a week and I think I eat pretty healthily, low fat cereal for breakfast, healthy sandwich on multigrain bread for lunch and then dinner when I get home at around 7:30, here are some of the examples of the things I have for dinner:-chicken and veg, spaghetti bolognese, chicken stir fry, pasta bake etc.

I also have a cereal bar and/or a banana usually an hour to half an hour before I go to the gym as I'm allways really hungry in the mornings! I am around 5ft and weigh 8 and a half stone, I think I'm pretty slim but I have got the dreaded love handles and a huge pot belly which I can never seem to get rid of!

I work so hard at the gym what am I doing wrong? I'm guessing my diet could be better but I need to be able to make quick simple lunches that aren't boring and are going to fill  me up and for dinner I'm not just cooking for myself but my boyfriend also so I can't subject him to salads for dinner every night!

I also feel tired all day, although I get a good 7 hours sleep at night.

I have read about whey protein, apparently it makes your work outs more effective as it is high in protein and helps you burn more fat, does anyone know how effective it really is and could this be the answer to my problems?!!
