With one milestone crossed on December 21st, the winter solstice and completion of a 5125 year cycle according to the Mayan calendar (with no apparent end to the world as we know it), it’s a fantastic time to step into the new era with clear intentions and a renewed commitment to participating in the activities and thinking that fulfills your spirit. Too much of our lives are spent wishing we had more time to do the things that matter to us. Whether that’s pursuing a new career path, taking care of your health and spirit, forming new relationships/improving upon existing ones, traveling or simply enjoying your life more, now is the moment to take those ideas seriously and begin to manifest them into existence. From my perspective, this is the best time in the history of humanity to utilize the energetic shifts of our planets and solar system to support us in this planetary and personal transition, one that has been on its way for a long time and is our birthright.
Based on my own experience and learning, I feel that the time has come for us to put our skepticism and fears behind us and begin to align ourselves with the innate power within each of us that connects us to not only each other, but everything natural on this planet and beyond. The longer we choose to believe that we are separate, powerless over our circumstances, and disconnected from the energy around us, the more we continue repeating the patterns and habits that don’t serve us or those around us.
So this year, as we move into 2013, my recommendation is to take the time to really reflect upon your life up until this point and consider the numerous possibilities that await you by simply believing in your own power to influence not only your own life but the many lives around you. This year when you set intentions and goals for the upcoming year and beyond, do so with pure intent and passion and watch the miracles unfold. Below are some tips/areas of consideration to help you get started, but there are no rules or directives in this process. Look within to determine how to approach this exercise in a way that inspires and motivates you from a place of love and faith.
1. Acknowledge that you are the Creator of your Life
You’ve heard it said over and over in books, films, spiritual texts, music and from the vast amount of alternative guidance counselors/healers. For those who pay close attention, one can quickly see the validity of this knowledge in their own lives. Everything (and I mean everything) that is happening in your life is a direct reflection of your thoughts, beliefs and intentions. You many think that you would never create something negative in your life and that you have been a victim to circumstances that are beyond your control. However, every thought, even the thought that you don’t want something manifests effortlessly if there is emotion behind it. Sometimes circumstances occur that are in line with a particular feeling or fear even if the circumstance itself is nothing you could ever imagine creating. This doesn’t mean that you are destined to be a victim to unconscious creation, but actually the opposite. By being aware of your thoughts and feelings, you can begin to work through them to discover their source and create new belief systems that are match what you truly want for your life and others. Fleeting thoughts with little or no emotion behind them are powerless, but others that take up a good portion of your mind’s attention on a regular basis are sure to develop, despite your best efforts to control them. Be conscious to your thinking and give all your emotion and enthusiasm to those things you really want to create and before you know it your life will be exactly as you desire to be.
