Sunday, January 20, 2008 at 10:32 AMHello Kenn,
Thank you so much for your encouragement. I read your article and I love your quote 'Never Give Up!'. These 3 words can make a difference. Sometimes we fall but we always get right back up.
I also agree with you Kenn that we sometimes forget that we have the resources to obtain our goals. We just sometimes forget and we get tangled in a web and loose all focus. I have found that centering on two many goals is a negative, because we seem to give up because we just have set our sights too high.
So for this year 2 things I will center on: weight and exercise. I went to see my dietician and she inspired me through commitment and encouragement. I will be seeing her on a monthly basis. She has centered on my high cholesterol intake, while teaching me to reduce calories and eat the right foods to loose weight. It went well and when I left her office I felt good; knowing that I am focused on a goal and look forward to seeing a new ME.
I'll be honest, exercising is not one of my strong suites. I know that I have to exercise to stay healthy and moving. I understand as we get older we really need to keep moving to have a healthy body. I can see myself in 3 months and how I would look following a good healthy diet with exercise. I will be taking pictures of myself every two weeks to see the difference. I shall post them here. Maybe this would encourage other people to work towards this goal for themselves.
There is a lot of information I need to know when it comes to dieting but I am not discouraged because I know this is really going to help me. One day at a time and Kenn, "Never Give Up!".
I may even have some tricks for making recipes that are low-fat, low-sodium and lower in cholesterol. My dietician says make things from scratch and create a masterpiece for yourself. I liked the way she said that. I would love to share some of my recipes later on down the road with anyone who is interested. I think we can all post little tricks for lowering calories in our daily intake. This list could become really long.
LOVE IT!
Get inspired everyone. Talk to you all soon.
