I went to see my doctor yesterday and he told me I had high cholesterol and high blood pressure. He told me I needed to lose weight and exercise more.
I had fracture my knee last year in May 2007 and I was only able to fully walk properly in December 2007.
Because of this injury and being sedentary my bone density test dropped tremendously. I just see the line drop down from the chart he showed me. When I reminded him I had fractured my knee he understood, because the year previous the bone density test was good.
There are so many things to do and I sometimes wonder how I am going to do them all. "One at a time".
I asked my doctor to send me to a dietician as I found I could not diet alone. I needed help in learning how to eat well for my body and lose weight.
I also have an exercise program with a coach who is somewhat like "a drill sargeant", but I don't mind because that is what I need to get me going and to stick to my program. Sometimes we all need a push.
I shall center on these two objectives. Too many objectives are bound to fail. I have tried too many at a time and you don't have the energy or you become overwhelmed with too many priorities.
Hopefull in one month I shall see a significant difference.
Catch you all later.
Susan
